Bankruptcy attorney bracing for wave of filings
"I have a bunch of cases brewing to file this summer," Luna said told Orlando Business Journal. “A lot of my work involves trying to do loan workouts and to save clients from having to file for bankruptcy, but either way, we’ll have filings in hospitality, construction, real estate, transportation and health care, because lenders have become significantly less cooperative."
Meanwhile, hospitality bankruptcies — an area where Luna said he’s seen a marked increase — are already on the rise.
Wave Sushi entities file for Chapter 11
Wave Asian Bistro & Sushi’s Maitland and Mt. Dora businesses both filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on April 11 in the Middle District of Florida.
