Solar company banned from Florida after $12.4M judgment
Orlando-based Vision Solar FL LLC — the Florida arm of the bankrupt Vision Solar LLC — has reached an agreement with the state resolving allegations of deceptive and unfair trade practices.
The consent final judgment between the Florida Attorney General’s office and Vision Solar FL LLC was filed in the Circuit Court of the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orange County, Civil Division, in February.
This agreement follows Vision Solar's Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing in New Jersey on Dec. 28, 2023.
The Florida case is part of a broader pattern of legal challenges and scrutiny facing Vision Solar and other residential solar installation companies across the country due to similar accusations of misleading and unlawful practices.
